About the Sample Image: "Under the B.Q.E." is a painting done near my permanent home in Brooklyn, N.Y. I was interested in depicting both the construction of buildings beneath the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and the fleeting, abstract patterns of sunlight that unfolded beyond the shadow of the overpass.
