John Fitzsimmons, an internationally exhibited painter who lives and works in DeWitt will have a solo exhibit at the Kirkland Art Center in Clinton NY. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, January 17th from 3 to 5 PM, and the exhibit will be up until March 10th. It is free and opened to the public.
The exhibit will feature several large figurative oil paintings, most of which have not be exhibited before and will be running concurrently with Munson Williams Proctor Institute’s prestigious 62nd Exhibition of CNY Artists, in which Fitzsimmons has 4 paintings.
Several of Fitzsimmons’ paintings are featured in the soon to be released film: “Please Give” Staring Amanda Peet, Catherine Keener and Oliver Platt. “Please Give” is scheduled to premier at the Sundance Film Festival.
