- Applicants must be 18+, U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents.
- All work must be original with a minimum of 75% produced by direct carving.
- Work will be reviewed by three renowned sculptors: Eve Ingalls, Jill Viney and Wendy Lehman. Selection will be based on artistic excellence.
- Download the application at: www.thenawa.org or send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to N.A.W.A. (address below).
- Application deadline: November 22, 2010. The winner will be notified in February, 2011.
- A grant of $10,000 will be awarded to a woman artist whose media is direct carving.
- Applicant must be 18+, United States citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
- A committee of three arts professionals will review the work of the candidates. The final decision will be based on artistic excellence.
- All work must be original. A minimum of 75% of an individual work must have been produced by direct carving.
- Award winner will be notified in February 2011, through certified mail. Winners will also be posted on the N.A.W.A. website: www.thenawa.org.
- N.A.W.A. reserves the right to use images of artist’s work selected for publicity and educational purposes.
- The committee decision is final.
- Twenty images of directly carved sculptures (a minimum of ten different works) ONLY CD-R submission JPEG format. No other formats will be accepted.
- Three copies of a maximum two-page artist resume and three copies of an artist’s statement.
- A self-addressed, stamped postcard for acknowledgment of receipt of your application.
- A self-addressed stamped envelope for return of your CD – or CD’s will be confiscated.
- Application fee of $50 made payable to N.A.W.A.
