Note: 'Lines into Shapes' is the name of the show and not the theme. (Most artwork starts with a few lines and develops into shapes.)
JURORS
- Dee Clements
Clements, a member of the National Sculptors' Guild, has a Masters Degree in sculpture. Over the years, many influences, interests and commissions have combined to create a diverse body of work. He has completed over 120 sculptures, of which over 30 were commissioned by major corporations, municipalities, and private collectors.
- Liz Good
Liz Good is senior editor of Fiberarts magazine. She has juried numerous fiber-art shows including: Uncommon Thread 2009, Culture Candy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Wearable Art/Unwearable Fashion, VisArts, Rockville, Maryland; and Texas: A Blending of Cultures, The Texas Museum of Fiber Arts, Austin, Texas
- Arleta Pech
Arleta Pech began her fine art painting career in Colorado. She is listed in Who's Who in American Art. She is represented in the touring museum exhibit The New Reality; The Frontier of Realism in the 21th Century, and was selected for the Woodson Art Museum of touring exhibit for Birds in Art. She is a signature member of the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia Society. Arleta's images have received international exposure through her published reproductions by Mill Pond Press and through thirty-one one-woman shows and appearances across the US and Canada. She also has authored Painting Fresh Florals in Watercolor and Radiant Oils.

CATEGORIES
Categories of acceptable media are:
- Oil, Scratchboard.
- Watermedia: watercolor, acrylic, gouache, or mixed watermedia.
- Pastels, graphite.
- Original printmaking. No digital or photomechanical processes.
- Sculpture, Wood, Fine art pottery, glass.
- Photography.
- Fiber.
- Jewelry.
Open to all artists who work within the limits of the categories listed above. Work must be original and executed within the past two years. Work must not have been previously exhibited in the "Lines into Shapes" Exhibition. Entry in this exhibit establishes an agreement on the part of the artist to all conditions listed in this prospectus. Artists may submit their entries for jurying by the following methods.
ENTRY FEE
A non-refundable entry fee of $15.00 per entry.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
You must provide the Art Center with three (3) items.
1. Digital images of your entries.
2. A completed entry form [download].
3. Payment of $15 per entry.

SIZE LIMITATIONS
2-dimensional art shall not exceed 120 inches in perimeter, not including the frame. This equals the sum of the length of all 4 sides.
Example: 24" x 36" = 120 inches.
3-dimensional art shall not exceed 60 pounds.
Wall pieces may not exceed 30 pounds and must include specific hanging instructions and hardware.

The following statements constitute an agreement between the artist and the Art Center of Estes Park. No exceptions will be made to these rules.
- Artwork must be offered for sale. The Art Center will retain a 40% commission on all artwork sold. Prices may not be changed after submission.
- The entry form must be completely filled out. The information recorded on this entry form is considered final and may not be changed. Entries without signatures(unless submitted electronically) or incomplete data will not be processed.
- Any requirements of the exhibit not fulfilled will result in disqualification.
- 2-dimensional art must be appropriately framed and ready to hang. No acetate coverings, brackets, quick-frames, any type of device leaving exposed glass or Plexiglas will not be accepted. The Art Center will exclude any entry that presents unusual installation problems, or is improperly framed.
- Artwork must not differ from the entry images and CDs of accepted work will be retained until receipt of the art for display. Digital entries must be high quality image files.
The Art Center and Gallery of Estes Park opened as a non-profit gallery, May 1987. Our mission is to provide a facility that supports and promotes artists; to present opportunities for education in the visual arts; and to act as an advocate and partner for community arts development.
