Awards:
First Place $1,000, Second Place $300, Third Place $200. Five Honorable Mentions: $100. Awards will be presented at the opening reception. Images on CD will be used for show acceptance only.
Juror:
Mr. Paul Stevenson is a teacher of art and art history at North Alabama Community College, Rainsville, Alabama. He has over twenty-five years experience in training and mentoring young, new artists and holds Master's Degrees in Fine Art, Art History, and History Education.
Exhibition dates: March 31st – May 1st, 2009
Dimensions:
Framed size of wall mounted work not to exceed 40” in width. 3dimensional base limit is 24” x 24”.
Entry Fee:
$30 nonrefundable fee ($20 for Coterie members)
Entry:
Up to three pieces of artwork may be submitted for consideration. All entries must be submitted on CD.
Slides are not accepted Each CD must provide title of work, artist’s name, medium, and size. Each entry must correspond with entries listed on entry form. Do not send images depicting 'detail' of 2D work. Each three dimensional work may be represented by up to three images. Acceptable image files are jpeg format ONLY.
Please DO NOT send submission images embedded in, or as a part of, any type of presentation, page layout, or graphic design program such as: Microsoft Powerpoint, Quark Xpress, Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, etc. We cannot accept such submissions. When sending entries by Express Mail, Fed Ex, UPS, etc. please sign Waiver of Signature so that mail can be left by carrier. CDs will not be returned.
Entry Form (download) must be filled out completely. All information is essential for jurying. Please print clearly, as information will be used for exhibition and publicity purposes.
Mail Entry Form with CD and check made payable to Rome Art Coterie. Provide a self addressed stamped envelope for notification of your acceptance. If SASE is not provided, notification will be made by email. CDs will NOT be returned. Entry must be postmarked by January 28, 2009.

Artists will be responsible for delivery of work to and from Rome, Georgia. All artwork must be ready for display/hanging. The artist is responsible for any insurance on his/her work during transit and exhibition. (While excellent security is in place and utmost care is given to all entries, the Rome Art Coterie does not assume any liability for damage or loss before, during or after an exhibition.) Artwork may be handdelivered or shipped.
Artwork that is shipped to the exhibition must be accompanied by a prepaid shipping label for return to the artist. Prepaid UPS, FEDEX and Airborne Express labels will be accepted. Work shipped by U.S. Mail will be accommodated ONLY if return stamps for the full mailing cost accompany the work. Do not send checks for postage. Hand delivered entries not picked up within 30 days of the last day of the show will become the property of Rome Art Coterie.
Sales:
A 35% commission on sales will be deducted. Any work not priced will be considered Not For Sale.
Agreement:
Submission of CD and/or works to this exhibition constitutes agreement on the part of the artist to all terms and conditions of this prospectus, which includes the right of Rome Art Coterie to use entries for publicity.
