Founded in 1974, Pleiades is one of the oldest and most successful artist run galleries in the country. The Gallery includes artists of established and recognized accomplishment, recipients of awards and grants, and emerging artists whose work has achieved peer recognition.
Pleiades Gallery is located in the heart of Chelsea, the vibrant center of the visual arts in New York City.
Eligibility
Open to artists worldwide, and all media. Selection will be made from CDs only. (No original works will be viewed during the jurying process.) Two-dimensional work may not exceed 60" high by 48" wide. Three-dimensional work may not exceed 50 lbs in weight, 64 cubic feet and must fit through a 32" x 80" doorway. A multi-part work to be displayed as a single unit and that does not exceed the size limitations will be considered a single entry.

CDs only
- JPEG format only
- Please use one CD only for all images
- Image resolution should be from 150-300 dpi (dots per inch)
- No single image should exceed 3 mb (megabytes)
- Save each image as name of artist and number of work i.e. (Smith1, Smith2 etc.)
- Label the CD with artist's name,title of work,media and dimensions
- Orient all images properly (top of image up)
- For 3-dimensional work submit 2 images showing alternate views
- Do not submit slide shows,flash files,psp files,etc.
- CDs will not be returned
- Send SASE for notification of acceptance/non-acceptance.
All work must be delivered ready for installation or hanging (framed, wired, plexiglas only for 2-dimensional work – no glass). The artist must be present to install work that is complicated or difficult to hang or install. Small sculpture should be firmly attached to a base or pedestal provided by the artist.
The artist assumes responsibility for the safety of any small sculpture not so attached. Some floor pedestals are available from the gallery. Work must be labeled with the artist’s name, title, media and dimensions, as well as the price or “Not for Sale” (NFS). Price on Request (POR) is not an acceptable designation.
Delivery of Work
Work must be hand delivered on July 11 or July 12 between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm or delivered by an agent designated by the artist, uncrated and unpacked and ready for hanging. Artists are responsible for all pre-paid shipping, fees, insurance and return pick-ups with their agents. Exhibition label must be attached to the back of work. Pleiades will not accept any packaged or crated work.
Artwork delivered after July 12, 2010 will not be accepted.

Removal of Work
All work must be picked up at the gallery at the removal times listed on the form.Work must be picked up on August 8 or August 9 between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm by the artist or an agent designated by the artist within the specified time. All work picked up by DAD will be delivered after August 17th.Work not picked up at Pleiades by August 9 will be sent to DAD Trucking for storage at the artist’s expense.

Liability and Sales
Every possible care will be taken of all art work, but Pleiades Gallery assumes no responsibility for loss or damage. Submission of work for this exhibit constitutes agreement with all terms and conditions stated above. The gallery charges no commission on sales made as a result of the exhibition.
Note: The Gallery reserves the right, in its sole discretion and interest, to refuse to exhibit any work regardless of any juror selection. No alternative work will be accepted as a substitute for any selected work.
Checklist for Entries Entries
- One image per 2-D work, two images per 3-D work, each labeled. Unlimited number of works with appropriate fee.
- Entry Fee: $40 first 3 images (6 images 3-D work), $5 each additional image. Fee not refundable. Check payable to Pleiades Gallery in US dollars.
- SASE: Self-addressed stamped envelope must be included for notification of acceptance or non-acceptance CDs will not be returned.

Calendar
- Entry Deadline Work must be postmarked by Saturday, May 22
- Accepted artists will be notified before or around June 19
- Delivery of Work: Sunday, July 11; Monday, July 12, 11:00 am-2:00 pm. If work is not received on time, it will not be installed. (No artwork will be accepted after after 2 pm on July 12)
