Access Arts® Grants for
Art Organizations & Artists in Need

.

National Deadline: Varies - Access Arts, Inc. (publishers of ArtDeadline.Com) has been dedicated to world wide distribution of information for artists and contemporary visual arts institutions since 1994. Our publications span subscription based local, national and international newsletters and magazines; internet based art and artist publications for the professional community; syndicated art news networks, and other artist advocacy and promotion services. All told, our networks are reached by over 5.9 million patrons a day.

Access Arts® believes that the arts is an important and innate part of the human experience, it enriches our personal life, and the life of our communities. Without "art", without an avenue to express our most basic needs and share in it's community, we cannot fully develop as a person nor as a culture. Insofar that barriers and exclusion from such experiences exist as a result of prejudice, economic factors, environmental and/or behavioral conditions, we feel a special responsibility as a member of the art community to provide support for initiatives that "makes the arts accessible for all".

ELIGIBILITY

For Art Organizations
Access Arts® designates U.S. and Canadian based organizations each year to receive a grant derived from a percentage of ArtDeadline.Com's donor provided funds. To be eligible for such grant your organization must meet the following criteria:

  1. At least one full year of providing art based educational services.
  2. Provide services that enhance accessibility to the arts for low income and/or children and adults with disabilities. (example: environmental modifications, free event ticket distribution, interpreting services, transportation, financial support, etc), and/or...
  3. That all or part of your services provide direct art education for low income and/or children and adults with disabilities.
  4. That such services are provided free, or on a sliding fee scale based on family income, for the participants.
  5. That such grant, if awarded, will be used for direct service activity in the area's indicated above.
  6. That you can demonstrate one or more community outreach activities regarding your specific service. (Example: Brochures,  internet based information regarding your art education programs, ad placements, etc).
For Artists
The ArtDeadline.Com Artist Emergency Fund welcomes applications from U.S. or Canadian based visual artists who have shown substantial talent and commitment in painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking or mixed media and who are currently in financial need. This award is not restricted but must be used for the stated purpose as indicated on your application.

Application Deadline
Applications are now closed for this year, please keep an eye open for the next grant cycle.

Award
The selection of grantee will be based on the applicant's provision of services as it relates to grantors stated purpose for donation; the organization's fiscal need as related to it's provision of  services; and overall degree of participant and community benefit derived from such services. Awarding of grant is based solely on Access Arts® own selection process and per it's own discretion. Grant(s) may be awarded at anytime throughout the year from income generated from the previous months of community donations.

Applications are now closed for this year, please check back for news on the next grant cycle.
