Opportunity Description

International Deadline: December 14, 2016 – Wild, Worshiped, Caged, Cuddled, Feared, Intelligent, Fabled, Family, Demonized, Eaten, Loved, Endangered, Hunted, Protected, Sentient. It’s complicated.

The Center for Fine Art Photography announces an international call for entries for its upcoming exhibit, ‘ Animalia’, with Juror Arlette Kayafas.

All capture types and photographic processes are eligible for natural selection.

ELIGIBILITY
Our calls for entry are open to all photographers world wide, both amateur and professional. The Center invites photographers working in all mediums, styles and schools of thought to participate.

JUROR | Arlette Kayafas
Arlette Kayafas, opened Gallery Kayafas in 2002 in Boston’s historic South End. Kayafas believes that as the owner of a gallery she has a responsibility to the artist, the client, the neighborhood, and her colleagues to exhibit only the best works. The gallery focuses on the emerging artists and pairs such artists with established and well known photographers. SELECT ARTIST IMMERSION WEEKEND
Artists selected for exhibition by our Juror are invited to attend the Artist Immersion Weekend at C4FAP in Fort Collins, Colorado. The Immersion Weekends include a Lively Public Reception followed by a dinner on the town, a Private Portfolio Review with the Juror and one with the Executive Director, Artist Group Lunch and a Portfolio Share with Professional Development Discussion.

HONORS | AWARDS
All selected artists are included in the Main Gallery Exhibition and Online Gallery seen by an international audience.

  • Center Award: $400.00
  • Director’s Selection: $200.00
  • Honorable Mention Awards: 1 year membership and 3 image submission to a Call for Entry at C4FAP.

In addition artists’ selected for the exhibition will also receive:

  • Promotion on The Center’s large social media platforms.
  • Professional installation images for your use.
  • In-gallery and online exhibition with links to artists’ websites
  • Press releases are sent to artists’ choice of media outlets.

SUBMISSION | ENTRY FEE
Members – $29 for the three images.
Non-members – $34 for the first three images.

Additional images may be submitted for $9 each for members and $10 each for non-members. There is no limit to the number of images that may be submitted.

Everyone who submits will receive an email notification of which images were accepted. Accepted images will be posted on the Center’s website.

Notice of acceptance: January 10, 2017
Exhibition dates: Apr. 7 – May. 13, 2017
Public/Artists’ reception: Apr. 14, 2017 6:00-8:00
