Competitions Armstrong National Art Exhibition
U.S. National Deadline: November 1, 2016 – Over the past five years we have had over a thousand art works submitted to this competition. Each year the judges select 30 finalists. We are proud to announce that online submission is now available for this most diverse 2-D competition. We are looking for talented young and mid-career artists throughout the nation whose work covers a variety of concepts and addresses different issues and technical considerations in art. This year our judge is Chris Valle.
Open to all artists who live in the United States and work with 2-D media, including drawing, graphic design, painting, textiles, print-making, and photography. Artworks must not weigh more than 60 pounds nor exceed 50 inches on any side, including frames. Returning applicants and 2-D alumni are eligible to reapply.
First Prize: $500
Second Prize: $250
Third Prize: $100
Fourth Prize: Honorable Mention Certificate
Your application must be completed and submitted online by the submission deadline. You can submit up to five images of artwork for review. Please note that image size and labeling are very important. Image files must be JPEG only, no larger than 1,000 pixels in height or width, and a resolution of 72 pixels per inch.
Image files must be labeled LastNameFirstName_Image#_ArtworkTitle.jpg.
Please include a $30 non-refundable check or money order made out to Armstrong State University. If you wish to submit more than three images, there is an additional charge of $5 per extra image. Add the extra image fee(s) to your check or money order.

10 November 2016 – Notification of applicant’s entry status into the exhibition
1 December 2016 – Accepted work needs to be delivered no later than December 1
12 December 2016 – 18 January 2017- Exhibition dates (gallery open until 2 p.m.)
25 January 2017 – Artwork pickup*
