Call for Submissions Art Science Exhibits Berlin, Autumn 2017
International Deadline: May 15, 2017 – Artists and Art Students working within all aspects of Evolutionary Biology- be it bird or biomimicry- Darwin or DNA- are welcome to enter!
There are no age or boarder restrictions. And you are free to apply within any art discipline.
We provide the stellar, out of the box location that will showcase your work beautifully. Selected applicants will be well promoted in Berlin, supplied with marketing materials, and have their art and profiles added to the upcoming Art Science Exhibits website- wall of fame page. We also can help you to price your work. Our commission is just one third of the sale price.
Participants who can travel to the Berlin Opening will be well cared for. You’ll be provided with suggestions for choice, low-cost accommodations. And you’ll enjoy hang-out time with Berlin artists, scientists and musicians. You may even join us ringside at the jazz club.
In turn, participants are responsible for shipping costs and framing (2D). If possible, pack your art and travel it with you. We’d love for you to attend!
Send images of 2D and 3D artwork via your website or online portfolio (on your preferred platform) and include dimensions. You may also email a selection of ten jpegs. Provide links for robotics, video, animation or sound art. Performance art will be accessed through a combination of stills and video.
We also require a brief explanation (one and a half pages of text maximum) to be attached to the email with your art links as a PDF. Use your artist’s name as the PDF file name. Describe your subject, medium, and how and why you would like to take part in this exhibition. Think of this as a very brief introduction.
There are no restrictions on when the work was created or who submits for whom- as long as the art can be legally traveled and sold. Please write your artist’s name in the subject heading of your email.
Send your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org. (Please let us know that you saw this announcement on “ArtDeadline.Com”.
We expect to notify selected applicants by July. Participants will be provided with all the necessary customs information for DHL shipping or shipping the artwork as baggage on flight.
Selections are based on the quality of the artwork as understood by the curators- and how the cohesive and divergent interrelationships of the selections will formulate into an overarching concept. Because we curate as artists with science in mind, our goal is to bolster poetic meaning with leading-edge ideas.
