Competitions Axis Gallery 12th National Juried Exhibition
U.S. National Deadline: June 1, 2017 – Axis Gallery announces an open call for artists residing in the U.S. for our upcoming national juried exhibition. We are pleased to have Mat Gleason, founder of the Coagula Art Journal, as juror.
All work must be original 2D and 3D work in any medium including painting, prints, drawings, photography and digital images.
Axis Gallery is an artist-run space that has been in operation for over 30 years, with a national reputation for bringing contemporary and challenging exhibitions to the public. The gallery is dedicated to the highest standards of excellence in the selection and presentation of works of art.
The exhibition will be on display August 4 thru August 27, 2017.
Founder of the highly controversial Coagula Art Journal, Mat Gleason is an internationally recognized art critic and curator of contemporary art. Coagula, his brainchild, was the pioneer of institutional critique aimed at the myriad centers of power in the art world. Sales are encouraged. The gallery will retain 40% commission on any work sold. Price of work should include commission to gallery.

- June 26: Notification of acceptance by email
- July 24–28: Shipped work to arrive
- July 28–30, 12–5 pm: Hand delivery to Axis Gallery
- August 4: Exhibition Opens
- August 12: Second Saturday Reception, 6–9 pm
- August 27: Exhibition Closes
- Shipped work returned at close of exhibition.
- Aug 27 from 5–6 pm or Aug 28 from 10:00 am–4 pm, hand-delivered work pickup
