Residencies Buffalo Creek Art Center Funded Residency
International Deadline: May 15, 2017 – Buffalo Creek Art Center is a new summer artist residency for three dimensional artists in metal, wood, ceramic and multi- media with an emphasis on aesthetics and craftsmanship. There is no fee for this residency program.
Beginning in the summer of 2017 it will have two 10 week sessions for 4 artists each. Artists will be given free room and work space and use of all the equipment. This unique property includes a vineyard, fruit orchards, 10 ponds, a miniature train station and hiking trails. Artists will live in a four bedroom ranch style house with separate bedrooms and a common kitchen.
The 5000 square foot workshop will have all the necessary equipment for welding, wood carving, ceramics and other forms of three dimensional work and room for large scale sculptures. One of the train station buildings will serve as a gallery for periodic art shows.

Buffalo Creek Art Center (BCAC) is a nonprofit educational, 501c3 Corporation. This unique and picturesque 25 acre property was developed as a boutique agricultural ranch which is nestled at the base of the magnificent Eastern Sierra amidst northern Nevada’s oldest stand of Aspen trees. It includes acres of fruit and nut orchards, a vineyard, many ponds and waterfalls, hiking trails as well as a replica train station and a fully restored 1923 caboose.
