U.S. National Deadline: August 6, 2017 – The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) is excited to announce our third annual The really Affordable Art $how, a national juried show opening September 23 thru October 15, 2017. This is a selling show with art priced for anyone and everyone. Thousands of NY art lovers and collectors will see your work up close and personal. Expand your collector base in NYC. To make it easy for new collectors, all work submitted must be for sale at $499 or less.
This call for submissions is open to all residents of the U.S. and its Territories 18 years of age or older. This is a juried exhibition for artists working in all traditional and non-traditional 2-D and 3-D media, including film/video when self-presenting. All work should be non-utilitarian in nature. This is a fine art exhibition.
Our juror is Laura Phipps, Assistant Curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC. We will be using 8,000 square feet for this show, and look forward to exhibiting artists’ work from all over the USA.
$2050 in cash prizes will be awarded including $1000 Best in Show Gold.
Ours is a truly unique gallery—a massive Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront in Brooklyn, NY. Its enormous space affords us the opportunity to exhibit really huge work, and we welcome it. We will be using 8,000 square feet for this show, and look forward to exhibiting artist’s work from all around the country, work in all sizes, subjects, and media, except film (it’s almost completely wide open).
Only original works or limited editions may be submitted. Works may be submitted in one or multiple media. Early Bird $45 July 14; Final Deadline $65. August 6, 2017.

Organized in 1978, the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition is a 501.c.3 non-profit corporation. BWAC’s 25,000 square foot gallery is in a Civil War-era warehouse on the Red Hook waterfront. The vista of New York Harbor, spanning the Statue of Liberty to the Verrazano Bridge is one of the best in the city. Our 18,000 annual visitors enjoy viewing every medium and style of artwork, our shows are as spectacular as the setting.
