Competitions 32nd Annual Tallahassee International Juried Competition
International Deadline: February 14, 2017 – The Florida State University Museum of Fine Arts (MoFA) announces an open call for artists for its 32nd Annual Tallahassee International juried competition. Open to artists 18+ years old in the US and worldwide with all media eligible for consideration. The exhibition is scheduled for August 28-October 1, 2017.
The jurors select the award winners after the exhibition has been installed. The First Place winner will receive $1,000.00 and the Second Place winner will receive $500.00. Honorable Mentions are selected at the jurors’ discretion, however there is no monetary award.
A color catalog is produced, and all artists who enter will receive a copy. Accepted artists will each receive a set of at least 10 complimentary catalogs.
The competition is blind juried by select faculty members from the Florida State University College of Fine Arts. Jurors select works based on their own merit and skill within the chosen medium. Selections are made from the digital images submitted, so it is imperative that quality images be provided to insure fair judging.
There is a nonrefundable $20.00 entry fee. A maximum of two (2) works per person may be submitted.
For a complete prospectus please visit our website. Submit either online or via printable entry form.
The Museum DOES NOT take a commission on works sold as a result of the exhibition. Interested buyers will be referred directly to the artist.
