International Deadline: September 25, 2017 – This is an open call to artists for an exhibition at Site:Brooklyn. This exhibition will reflect the ambitious, innovative and contemporary in painting, drawing, printmaking, and photography today.

We are fortunate to have the highly respected Lilly Wei as the juror. Lilly Wei is a New York-based independent curator, writer, journalist and critic whose area of interest is global contemporary art and emerging art and artists, reporting frequently on international exhibitions and biennials. Her writings have appeared in dozens of publications here and abroad and is a longtime contributor to Art in America, a contributing editor at ARTnews and a former contributing editor at Art Asia Pacific. She is the author of numerous artists’ catalogues and monographs and has curated exhibitions in the United States, Europe and Asia. She lectures frequently on critical and curatorial practices and sits on the board of several non-profit art institutions… see more

This call for submission is open to all artists 18 years of age or older. This is a juried exhibition for artists working in two dimensional media.

The fee is $35. The fee is for up to three (3) images, plus $10 for each additional image.

Only original works may be submitted. Entries that differ significantly from their digital images may be rejected. The decision of the judges, are final.

Notification of acceptance of work will be made via e-mail by, October 2, 2017. A return confirmation of participation is required by October 6, 2017 to hold a spot in the exhibition.

Site:Brooklyn will retain a 40% commission on all exhibition sales.

Site:Brooklyn is a gallery dedicated to exhibiting the current practice of contemporary artists. The gallery is located in the heart of the Gowanus arts district on 7th Street.
