Opportunity Description

International Deadline: October 15, 2016 – CICA Museum invites artists to submit works for consideration for the art book project “Art Yellow Book.” Art Yellow Book #3, featuring artists from around the world, will be published and released in the United States and Korea. Featured artists are eligible to participate in the Art Yellow Book exhibition at CICA Museum.

January 6-22, 2017 Expected dates of Art Yellow Book Korea Exhibition

Each artist may freely organize two facing pages in the book, considering these pages a form of exhibition and advertisement of self and/or work. There are no rules or restrictions regarding the layout, design, or content, except that the artist’s name, email address, website (if applicable), and QR code should appear on the bottom right of the second page. You may include any text, drawings, and/or pictures

There is no Application Fee. However, selected artists will pay a $65 printing and processing fee.

October 15, 2016 – Close Submissions
October 23 – 31, 2016 Approvals: Selected artists will be notified by email.
November – December, 2016 Designing, editing, and printing

January 6 – 22, 2017 Expected dates of Art Yellow Book Korea Exhibition.

CICA fosters projects of experimental artists. We aim to provide a creative, yet comfortable space for artists and the community to nurture their creative and critical thinking with visual culture while they communicate with each other.

CICA Museum has a collection of artist Czong Ho Kim’s sculptures, paintings, and architecture, as well as many renowned international artists’ works. For special exhibitions, we exhibit Contemporary Art pieces including painting, sculpture, and new media art. CICA also offers education and public programs for the cultural development of local communities.
