International Deadline: March 12, 2019 – Agora Gallery is pleased to invite artists from across the globe to enter the 34th Annual Chelsea International Fine Art Competition. Selected artists will receive prizes and opportunities that will grant invaluable exposure, boost recognition, and promote career growth.
With a distinguished panel of jurors and more than $70,000 in valuable prizes, the 2019 Chelsea International Fine Art Competition is an event not to be missed.
The competition is open to visual artists from around the world at any stage of their careers. Artists are invited to submit in any of the following mediums: painting, sculpture, photography, drawing, mixed media, and print.

Art submitted to the competition will be reviewed by a panel of expert jurors, each representing a different field in the art world, ensuring a fair and balanced judgment process.
- Alaina Claire Feldman – Director of the Mishkin Gallery, The City University of New York (CUNY) Baruch’s Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery.
- Kentaro Totsuka – Director of ‘HPF Christopher Inc.’ and ‘Gallery Tokyo’.
- Arnold J. Kemp – Dean of Graduate Studies, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).

The 2019 competition awards are valued at more than $70,000. In addition to cash prizes, other awards include participation in the collective exhibition, featured magazine profiles, valuable PR opportunities, and an honorable mention. The Exhibition is scheduled to take place at the street-level space of Agora Gallery at 530 West 25th Street, Chelsea, NYC, from August 10th – 20th, 2019. Elegant yet welcoming, the gallery offers 4,000 square feet and features 13 to 18 foot ceilings, a skylight viewing area, and wide windows facing the street.
There is a $45 entry fee for up to 5 images ($5 for each additional image).

Results will be announced on April 16th, 2019, with the competition exhibition slated for August 10–20, 2019.
All submitted artwork must be available for sale. The gallery’s commission structure is 50/50: the artist receives 50% of the list/retail price, and the gallery receives 50% of the list/retail price. In addition, 15% of Agora Gallery proceeds from the sale of artwork from the competition exhibition go to a charitable organization.
