Call for Submissions Double Vision
U.S. National Deadline: February 1, 2021 – Bromfield Gallery, one of Boston’s premier artist-run galleries, is seeking artwork that touches on two ways of seeing things or that encourages an open mind and heart—or simply art that makes you look twice or examine it more closely. The double vision could involve a diptych or two media or a mix of time periods. Have fun with the theme and surprise us with your interpretation!
All accepted artwork will be exhibited online. The top ten pieces by 10 different artists will be shown in person at the gallery from March 5 – 28. For these ten artworks, the artist is responsible for shipping to and from the gallery (or drop off).
Open to all media, 2D or 3D, any interpretation of the theme.
Juried by a committee of Bromfield Gallery artists.
$15 for one image, limit of 5 entries per artist.

All work must be for sale. Maximum width 36″. 50% gallery commission. Minimum sale price: $600.

Founded in 1975, Bromfield Gallery is one of Boston’s premier artist-run galleries. With an emphasis on New England artists, Bromfield shows contemporary art in all media, including printmaking, sculpture, painting, and drawing, as well as video, installation, and new media.
The gallery is located in Boston’s dynamic SOWA district (South of Washington Street) in the South End, home to over two dozen contemporary art galleries and high-end furniture and design boutiques, as well as a number of fine restaurants. Nearby is the Boston Center for the Arts, which showcases visual art, cultural conferences, and independent theater companies. SOWA comes alive during each month’s First Friday opening receptions.
