Call for Submissions CICA Call for Artists: AR Art Exhibition
International Deadline: August 30, 2019 – CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the International Exhibition “AR Art.” The exhibition features artworks incorporating augmented reality (AR).
Exhibition Dates: October 11, 2019 – February 9, 2020.
For each work, up to 3 images can be printed on A4 paper (or smaller) and will be installed by our curator and assistants. AR works will be installed in various places of CICA Museum including gallery space, hallways, stairs, Taste Bar, and/or outdoor space.
Android tablets will be provided for visitors and each tablet will be used for multiple AR works. Please indicate the special requirements in the submission email if image(s) need to be printed larger than A4; more than 3 images need to be printed; or framing is needed. Additional fees may apply.
If special installation or additional materials/devices are required for the work, the artist needs to bring them and install the work. The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her physical materials to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The two-dimensional work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest side, and the installation piece should be no larger than 39x39x79 inches (1 x 1 x 2 m, w x l x h). The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg. Please indicate in the submission email if you are interested in exhibiting works exceeding the size/weight limit.
If the work is desired to be installed outside, the artist will need to send us waterproof prints or materials.
No Application Fee. However, if the artist’s works are selected, the artist will be required to pay the show processing & maintenance fee: $60 (USD) per work. The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses.
