International Deadline: March 1, 2019 – The Sausalito Art Festival Foundation invites you to apply to participate as one of 260 premier artists showcased at one of the top outdoor fine art festivals in the country.
Held over Labor Day weekend, August 31 – September 2, 2019 on Sausalito’s spectacular waterfront, the Sausalito Art Festival attracts more than 30,000 art lovers to celebrate the virtuoso talents of the finest regional, national, and international artists.
The Sausalito Art Festival is held in Marin County, California, one of the wealthiest and most highly educated counties in the nation. Located just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Festival is also heavily attended by the residents of San Francisco and Silicon Valley – hotbeds of creativity and art aficionados.
The Festival is open to all applying artists. No work by apprentices or employees will be accepted. Commercial agents, dealers, or manufacturers are not eligible to enter. No kits, molds, tumbled stones, embellished objects, or edible art may be submitted. Numerous artwork categories are eligible to apply and sell. (See here for definitions)
Opening Night Preview Gala – Friday, August 30, 2019 from 4-7 pm
Sausalito Art Festival Day 1 – Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 10 am-7 pm
Sausalito Art Festival Day 2 – Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 10 am-7 pm
Sausalito Art Festival Day 3 – Monday, September 2, 2019 from 10 am-5 pm
INVITED ARTISTS RECEIVE
- Flat Booth Fee – No Commissions
- Booth fee includes: white canopy, assisted load-in and load-out
- VIP Artist Hospitality, including complimentary continental breakfast, lunch, and snacks from top Sausalito restaurants
- Artist Relations Services and Booth Sitters
- 24-hour on-site security
- Artist information included in Official Festival Program and onsite signage
- Artist listing and link to website
- Opportunity to purchase low-cost four-color advertisements in the official Festival program
All award winners will receive an invitation to exhibit the following year in the Sausalito Art Festival.
The Sausalito Art Festival does not charge a commission on artwork sold. One-hundred-percent of the income generated by the artists while at the Festival, stays with the artists.
The Sausalito Art Festival will celebrate its 67th year in 2019. For 67 years patrons have paid to view and purchase the art exhibited at the Festival, it’s an understatement to say that the show has been a success. The Festival is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) and proceeds from the Festival support the arts through community non-profits, grants, artist awards, and scholarships.
