Competitions ViewPoint Gallery International Photography Competition

International Deadline: April 15, 2019 – This is an opportunity to exhibit your work for one month at ViewPoint Gallery, a photography gallery located in Halifax, Nova Scotia on a busy downtown street in the heart of one of Canada’s most vibrant arts communities.
Each winning image will be exhibited for one month between June 2019 and May 2020 with the month to be chosen by ViewPoint Gallery.
The International Photography Competition is open to photographers located in any country around the world. There are no restrictions on subject matter.
The images will be reviewed by an independent jury comprised of experienced photographers who will select 12 images for exhibition at ViewPoint Gallery.
Twelve winning images will be selected for exhibition at ViewPoint Gallery – one image will be exhibited monthly. The winning images will be professionally printed and framed at no cost to the photographer. The images will be promoted on ViewPoint’s website and newsletter.
Each winning image will be matted, framed, and displayed as ViewPoint Gallery’s featured International Artist of the Month.

Entries must be submitted electronically with an entry fee of $25. US. A maximum of three images may be submitted with each entry. Multiple entries are permitted.
Winning images will be available for sale at a price set by the artist. If the framed image is sold in the Gallery, the artist will receive the full sale price minus a 15% processing fee. Any unsold prints will be disposed of in a confidential and safe manner within one year of exhibiting. Unsold prints will not be returned.
Founded in July, 2000, ViewPoint Gallery presents a dynamic approach to the display of photography with a mixture of solo and group exhibitions. The Gallery continually displays work by all its members, and showcases individual members through solo exhibitions, accompanied by artist talks, presentations and other events. In addition to the solo shows there is one guest exhibition and several group exhibitions shown each year.
Since its founding, ViewPoint Gallery has hosted over 200 exhibitions, bringing the finest of Nova Scotia’s photography to tens of thousands of visitors. In January 2008,
