Competitions Spring Ahead: Arts in Bloom
U.S. National Deadline: April 11, 2020 – Hopkinton Center for the Arts is excited to announce our fifteenth annual Arts in Bloom show to be juried by Marie Craig, director of Fountain Street Gallery named Best of Boston in 2019.
On display May 8 – June 11, 2020.
Arts in Bloom is a competitive juried annual show open to artists of all ages.
Blossom. Birth. Rebirth. Openness. New growth.
New terrain. Seeing with fresh eyes. Old things new again.
First times. Ancient rites. Dawn. Life.
(Art work does not have to include flowers.)
Up to three artworks that have not been shown at HCA may be submitted. All 2D media may be entered, including photos, fiber art, and digital art. The work must be wired for hanging. Maximum height and width for framed wall hung work is 40 inches.

No sawtooth hangers or sandwich frames, giclee prints, copies, derivative, or electronic reproductions will be accepted.
Marie will choose artwork to be exhibited in our two main galleries, and will also select six outstanding works for awards. Serving individuals of all ages, cultures, and artistic abilities across the MetroWest region, the HCA develops artistic skills, offers outstanding artistic performances and exhibitions, and enables visitors to experience art in all forms. Under one roof, we celebrate art through classes and events in visual art, theater, music, dance, ceramics, writing, and film.
In 2015 we opened our expanded art center, with a new exhibition space, a 200-seat performance space, and newly renovated classrooms. The Delbridge Family Performance Space and the Lotvin Family Gallery annually present dozens of productions and exhibitions by students and adults, amateurs and professionals. Created in 2011, HCA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community arts center, fosters and celebrates the creative spirit in everyone.
