U.S. Regional Deadline: March 21, 2025 – The Triton Museum of Art announces a call for artists for its upcoming 2025 Salon.  Enter our competition for your chance to win a solo show at the Triton Museum of Art!

On display May 17 – August 17, 2025.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
The competition is open to all California artists. All works of art submitted must be an original work created by the artist and have been completed within the last 5 years (between 2020 – 2025). Entries will be accepted in five categories: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Photography, and Mixed Media.*

*A note about Mixed Media: While mixed media may include digitally altered or enhanced works, submissions created by AI apps/programs will not be accepted. Should an accepted work be discovered to be AI created in any way, it will be disqualified. The final product of mixed media works should also be entirely 2D. 3D additions to artwork, or 3D works in general are not allowed.

JUROR
This year’s guest juror is Pancho Jiménez. Pancho holds an M.F.A. in Sculptural Ceramics from San Francisco State University and a B.A. from Santa Clara University. He has exhibited internationally in London, throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, and nationally at universities, private galleries, and civic spaces. His work is part of the permanent collections of the Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles, the Triton Museum of Art in Santa Clara, and the University of San Francisco.

AWARDS
Place Awards will be given in each of the five categories. In addition, a Best of Show award will be given. The Best of Show winner will receive a solo exhibition at the Triton Museum of Art the following year. Awards and recipients will be posted at the Artists’ Reception on May 17, 2025, and subsequently on the Museum’s webpage and social media.

FEES
Entry fee is $20.00/one entry, $10.00 for each additional entry. The maximum number of entries is 10. All fees are non-refundable.

APPLY ONLINE

Artists will be notified of selection results (acceptance and non-acceptance) by email between Wednesday, April 9 – Friday, April 11, 2025.

SALES
The Museum is not involved in the selling of artists’ work and will receive no commission. All purchase inquiries will be passed directly to the artist.

*During normal Museum open hours: Tuesdays – Sundays, between 11am – 4:30pm
