Opportunity Description

U.S. National Deadline: April 2, 2025 – The Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery presents the juried exhibition “Uncanny.”

When something has an unordinary or eerie quality, it may be referred to as “uncanny.” Something that evokes a strange and unexplainable aura makes the viewers question reality. When something feels “uncanny” it may resonate as an indescribable experience. We are inviting artists to submit their own artwork that represents an unnatural or otherworldly essence.

This exhibition will be on display from June 04 – 25, 2025.

ELIGIBILITY
This juried exhibition is open to all artists over the age of 18, who reside in the United States. All work must be original and completed in the last two years. All work must be accurately represented in the images and submitted in JPEG file format (exceptions apply for video and audio files). Artworks not meeting these criteria will not be exhibited.

PRESENTATION
Professional presentation of each piece is required. Video, 2D and 3D work are all accepted. 2D work must be framed and have a secure way to hang the piece if it requires hanging. For canvases, the sides and all staples must be covered.

ENTRY FEE
There will be a $25 per artist entry fee that will be invoiced once the entry is received.

  • Notifications: 04/22/2025
  • Artwork Received: 05/ 19-22 /2025, (during gallery hours, M-Th 10-5pm) or by appointment
  • Exhibition Dates: 06/ 04-25 /2025
  • Closing Reception: 06/25/25 4-6 pm (attending artists may collect their artwork after 6 pm)
  • Artwork Pick-up: 06/30/2025-7/3/2024 (during gallery hours, M-Th 10-5 pm) or by appointment
