Compete Double Vision
Opportunity Description
U.S. National Deadline: October 23, 2026 – The goal of Double Vision is to create a juried display of diptychs and paired objects. We invite artist to create works that are in conversation with each other, whether those pieces are two parts of a whole, one inspired by the other, or pieces that simply belong together… like salt and pepper, or peanut butter and jelly!
ELIGIBILITY
The show is an opportunity for creative people to share a visual depiction of their experiences and observations. All 2- and 3- dimensional media are welcome.
Displaying diptychs and paired objects often comes with special considerations. Please read through the following notes to help guide your entry.
- A pair (diptych or paired objects) is considered 1 entry. You may submit up to 2 entries for
consideration. - Depending on the piece, you may submit either an image of the pieces displayed together or individual images of the pieces in the pair. Individual images must be clearly labeled with the title of the pair it belongs to. See further details about images in points 1-3 in under Entry Guidelines.
- Accepted pieces will be displayed together in the gallery. If you have a specific vision for how they are in relationship to each other. Please include that information on the entry form under display notes. Where possible, also include an image of how they should be displayed.
- To keep with the theme, accepted pieces will be priced as a pair in the exhibit. If you are willing to sell them separately, we are collecting pricing for individual works, which will be available to patrons upon request.
AWARDS
Prizes (minimum of $500 total) will be awarded including Best of Show and in media categories.
ENTRY FEE
A nonrefundable submission fee applies: CALC Members: $20.00. Non-members: $35.00. We wish this to be an open opportunity for all artists. Should the payment of the fee preclude an artist from participating due to current circumstances, please contact CALC to request a waiver.
All artists will be contacted with jury notification no later than Nov 20, 2026.
SALES
All works must be for sale. CALC retains 35% commission.
