Art Calls Fight Club: Contradiction, Conflict & Tension in Contemporary Life
Opportunity Description
U.S. National Deadline: March 23, 2026 – Artlink is now accepting submissions for our upcoming juried group exhibition: Fight Club. All mediums are eligible and any artist 18+ residing in the United States.
Struggle and conflict are part of life—between people, within ourselves, across cultures, systems, and beliefs. “Fight Club” invites artists to explore moments of friction: misunderstandings, arguments, contradictions, power struggles, resistance, and unresolved tension.
This exhibition is not about violence for spectacle’s sake, but about the forces that push against one another and the energy created in that collision.
We are interested in work that examines opposing ideas, internal conflicts, social divides, ethical dilemmas, or quiet standoffs. This might look like a visual argument within a single piece, a clash of materials or processes, competing narratives, or imagery that reveals contradiction beneath the surface. Subtle tension is just as welcome as overt confrontation. Artists may interpret the theme broadly—political, personal, psychological, or structural. From interpersonal disputes to ideological battles, from satire to sincerity, Fight Club seeks to ask: what happens when things are out of alignment or don’t agree – what can be revealed in that space?
The exhibition will take place May 7 – June 7, 2026.
