International Deadline: January 15, 2023 – The New Tang Dynasty (NTD) Television International Figure Painting Competition is one in a series of international arts and cultural events sponsored by NTD Television. The competition is a great opportunity for artists around the world to showcase their talents and revive the traditional art of realism oil painting.

The competition’s mission is to promote the pure beauty, pure goodness, and pure authenticity of traditional painting. realism artists worldwide are invited to submit figure paintings that convey traditional values, and positive ideals such as beauty, compassion, and righteousness.

ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to all professional realism artists, as well as fine art teachers and students, regardless of nationality.

  • Gold: $10,000
  • Silver: $3,000
  • Bronze: $1.500
  • Outstanding Technique Award: US$1,000 (Each)
  • Profound Humanities Award: US$1,000 (Each)
  • Outstanding Youth Award: US$1,000 (Each)
  • Honorable Mention Award: several winners

FEE
US$75 for the first entry; US$15 for each additional work submitted.

NTD Television is a non-profit founded in New York City in 2001. Our founders are Chinese Americans who experienced the realities of Tiananmen Square and the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, and the associated government censorship, disinformation, and propaganda campaigns. With no other sources of information, media the world over were presenting such disinformation as fact. Our founders felt duty-bound to share the truth with the world, including stories of goodness, compassion and selflessness in the face of extreme adversity. With this, NTD was born.
