Compete ViewPoint Gallery 2026 International Photography Competition
Opportunity Description
International Deadline: April 15, 2026 – This is an opportunity to exhibit your work for one month at ViewPoint Gallery, a dynamic photography gallery located in historic Bedford, Nova Scotia, close to downtown Halifax. ViewPoint is dedicated solely to photography and is the only co-operative photography gallery in Atlantic Canada.
ELIGIBILITY
Eligible applicants may be located anywhere around the world. Current ViewPoint members and their immediate families are ineligible. Only images submitted by the artists who created them and hold sole copyright will be considered.
JURY
The images will be reviewed by an independent jury of established photographers who will select 12 images for exhibition at ViewPoint Gallery.
AWARDS
Twelve winning images will be professionally printed, matted, and framed at no cost to the photographer. Each print will be displayed at the gallery for one month between June 2026 and May 2027.
The 12 winners will also have the opportunity to become Virtual Associates of the Gallery, with a free profile page on our website for one year (June 2026-May 2027).
In addition, the 12 winning photographs will be promoted on ViewPoint’s website, newsletter, and social media channels.

SALES
Winning images will be available for sale (unframed) at a price set by the artist. If the image is sold in the Gallery, the artist will receive the full sale price minus a 15% processing fee. Any unsold prints will be disposed of in a confidential and safe manner within one year of exhibiting. Unsold prints will not be returned.
About:
Founded in July, 2000, ViewPoint Gallery presents a dynamic approach to the display of photography with a mixture of solo and group exhibitions. The Gallery continually displays work by all its members, and showcases individual members through solo exhibitions, accompanied by artist talks, presentations and other events. In addition to the solo shows there is one guest exhibition and several group exhibitions shown each year.
Since its founding, ViewPoint Gallery has hosted over 200 exhibitions, bringing the finest of Nova Scotia’s photography to tens of thousands of visitors.
