International Deadline: June 6, 2025 – The Visions of Renewal Photography Contest, presented by SeeingHappy and the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA), invites people around the world, ages 13 and up, to capture photographs that reflect the spirit of renewal in their lives or communities. Whether it’s the resilience of nature, the rebuilding of communities, or moments of personal transformation, this contest encourages creative reflection on how the world continues to heal, grow, and flourish despite adversity. Open to anyone with a camera or smartphone, the contest offers prizes including Amazon gift cards and IPPA memberships, and selected photos will be exhibited at the 2025 World Congress on Positive Psychology in Brisbane, Australia.
This global initiative celebrates the launch of IPPA’s new Positive Arts & Culture Division, which explores how various forms of cultural expression, from music and literature to film, history, and philosophy, can foster human flourishing. SeeingHappy, known for its emphasis on visual storytelling and well-being, joins IPPA to amplify this mission through photography. Together, the two organizations aim to build a global dialogue that showcases the regenerative forces in our world, encouraging individuals to recognize and share the hope and strength they see around them.
By inviting photographers of all experience levels to submit their work between April 18 and June 6, 2025, the contest offers a unique opportunity to reflect on renewal as both a personal and collective process. Images will be judged based on technical skill, emotional impact, and their ability to communicate the theme of renewal through both visual and written storytelling. Join us in celebrating the beauty of what’s possible, when we choose to focus on healing, growth, and the potential for a brighter future.

ELIGIBILITY
Anyone over the age of 13 with access to a camera (cell phone or DLSR) regardless of whether they are attending the Congress or are members of IPPA.

SELECTION CRITERIA
- Technical Skill:Clarity, lighting, composition, and overall image quality.
Impact:The ability of the image to capture the viewer’s imagination and inspire them towards the concept of renewal. - Communication: How effectively does the photo and its caption communicate the theme of renewal?
