Art Calls Call for Collaboration: Open Curation Project Spring 2027

Opportunity Description

International Deadline: October 9, 2026 – The CICA Museum invites artists, collectives, organizations, and educational institutions worldwide to collaborate with us in organizing solo or group exhibitions, experimental projects, and publications. Selected participants will have the opportunity to present their work in a gallery space at the CICA Museum for one week, with exhibitions open from Wednesday through Sunday.

We welcome proposals for collaborative projects and experimental formats. If you are interested in a larger exhibition space, an extended display period, or have other ideas in mind, please feel free to contact us.

Selected participants will be featured in the e-book CICA Art Now 2027, available on Amazon Kindle. A printed version will also be available for purchase. Selected participants may also have the option to participate in a recorded artist interview to be shared on social media.

Open Curation Project exhibitions and projects: January–June 2027.

Participants may choose between a 117 × 117 × 79 inch (3 × 3 × 2 m, width × length × height) project space and an entire gallery room of approximately 44 m². The exact size of the gallery room may vary depending on the assigned space.

DATES

  • October 9, 2026: Submission deadline
  • October 10–15, 2026: Notification of Results. Selected participants will be notified by email.
  • October 15–25, 2026: Scheduling and Space Assignment
  • January–June 2027: Open Curation Project exhibitions and projects.
  • Each project/exhibition will be held for one week, from Wednesday through Sunday.
  • August 1, 2027: Expected publication date of CICA Art Now 2027 Space

About:
CICA Museum has a collection of artist Czong Ho Kim’s sculptures, paintings, and architecture, as well as many renowned international artists’ works. For special exhibitions, we exhibit Contemporary Art pieces including painting, sculpture, and new media art. CICA also offers education and public programs for the cultural development of local communities.
