Opportunity Description

U.S. National Deadline: May 1, 2026 – The Allied Arts Association is a nonprofit organization that believes a vibrant community deserves a rich variety of visual arts opportunities, and in so doing, we are happy to announce a call to artists for our upcoming 2026 Annual Juried Show.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists residing in the U.S., age eighteen and over. Only original work created, conceived, and executed entirely by you, the artist, since 2023 and not previously shown in an Allied Arts Juried or Featured Show will be considered. Work from commercial kits, tutorials, copies, or done under instruction are ineligible.

Entries may include any traditional media: watercolors, oils, acrylics, mixed media, drawings, ceramics, fibers, metals, photographs, prints, jewelry, wood, glass, non­traditional materials (separate or in combination).

Dimensions of two-dimensional pieces (frames included) may not exceed 72” x 72”. Three­ dimensional pieces must fit through the entry way to the gallery, which measures 42” x 120”. Pieces must not weigh more than 150 pounds. No exceptions unless previous arrangements have been made with the Juried Show Chair.

JUROR
Dr. Jack DeLap is a professor, ecologist, and fine artist from Seattle, Washington. He holds a B.A. in Fine Art & History, MSc in Wildlife Biology, and PhD in Environmental & Forest Sciences. He instructs science and sci-art classes at Seattle University, including environment and sustainability and scientific illustration. As a freelance artist, his natural science and wildlife images are widely published in books, journals, and scientific papers.

AWARDS
Over $4000 will be awarded.

FEES
$15 per entry for members / $18 per entry for non­-members. Artists who submit three paid entries may submit a bonus fourth work without a fourth entry fee.

APPLY ONLINE
Artists will be notified of art selected for the show by May 31, 2026.

SALES
Allied Arts charges a commission on sales (35% for members, 40% for non-members). Items may be indicated as Not for Sale (NFS).

From our home at the Gallery at the Park we provide appreciation for the arts, changing exhibits, and art education. Over the years, the gallery has expanded from an artist cooperative to having a sales gallery, a featured show gallery and an art education classroom. Local and regional artists bring their original, handmade art to the gallery for display and sale to the public.
