Compete 16th International ARC Salon Competition
Opportunity Description
International Deadline: June 30, 2022 – The Art Renewal Center is now accepting entries for the prestigious 16th International ARC Salon Competition.
When talking about competitions and exhibitions dedicated to 21st Century Realism, The International ARC Salon is the largest in the world in terms of entries, and the most diverse in terms of categories and international participation. This makes the International ARC Salon Competition the most influential and far-reaching competition for Contemporary Realism in the world, with over $130,000 in cash awards and international recognition through partnerships with prestigious magazines, galleries, and museums, with live exhibitions and a strong online presence.
ELIGIBILITY
All entries must be original artwork, conceived and created by the entrant within the past 3 years. Works need to be original works of art and not copies of works by other artists.
Acceptable mediums include: oil, pastel, watercolor, graphite, acrylic paints, charcoal, clay, bronze, stone, marble and /or travertine, plaster, resin, scratch-board, gold-point, silver-point, ink, colored pencils, gouache, tempera and all traditional mediums. Fine quality realistic renderings in mosaic are also acceptable.
CATEGORIES
Figurative, Portraiture, Imaginative Realism, Drawing, Landscape, Still Life, Plein Air Painting, Fully From Life, Sculpture, Animals, and a special category for teens.
TRAVELING EXHIBITION
The exhibition is planned to first open at Sotheby’s NY, Sotheby’s flagship New York City location, and tentatively planned to continue on to Sotheby’s Los Angeles, California, where it will exhibit in November/ December of 2023 at their new Beverly Hills location.
BENEFITS & AWARDS
Over $130,000 in cash awards and international recognition through partnerships with prestigious magazines, galleries, and museums, with live exhibitions and a strong online presence. There are over 180 awards and honorable mentions and there will be over 1,000 finalists. There is only room for about 100 works in the exhibition, so there are always enough works to create the live show.
All winners, honorable mentions, finalists and semi-finalists will have their name and artwork details displayed on the ARC website.
