Compete Radical Imperfection

Opportunity Description
International Deadline: August 31, 2025 – Athens Institute of Contemporary Art is seeking contemporary art in all media that explores or references ‘Radical Imperfection’, a term that can expressed as wabi-sabi, intentional askew-ness, imbalance, asymmetry, distortion, happy-go-with-it, and the sensation of living today. #RADICAL IMPERFECTION means to embrace uncomfortable, odd, or unexpected outcomes. Risk sharing your results and enter the 2025 juried exhibition with as little perfection as you prefer.
On display October 18-November 23, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY
Original artworks in any visual media may be entered. Work should have been created within the last two years. No reproductions, works previously shown at ATHICA, or multi-piece works, such as diptychs, triptychs or grids. Sculptures must be one piece. All 2-D work must be ready to hang with wire. No saw-tooth hangers.
JUROR
The theme has been suggested by our esteemed juror Elizabet Elliott, Executive Director/Curator of the Alabama Contemporary Art Center.
