Opportunity Description

International Deadline: January 31, 2021 – Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute and Smead Manufacturing invite artists with physical and/or cognitive disabilities to participate in the 57th annual Art of Possibilities Art Show & Sale.

The mission of the show is to showcase the talents of artists with disabilities, provide a forum to sell their work and create a cherished and inclusive community event for people of all abilities.

ELIGIBILITY
All artists with a disability causing physical or mental impairment which substantially limits one or more major daily life activities are eligible. Examples of major life activities include walking, seeing, hearing, breathing, personal care, learning or working.

The show features six categories: Graphic, Mixed Media, Oils & Acrylics, Photography, Sculpture and Watercolor. All artwork must be original and available for sale at a fair market price established by the artist.

AWARDS
All artists will receive recognition through the promotion of Art of Possibilities. A $500 cash award will be awarded to one artist whose work is chosen as “Best of Show”. First, second, third and honorable mention ribbons are awarded in all categories. Winners receive $250, $175, $125 and $100 respectively.

APPLY ONLINE – No Entry Fee
Submissions are limited to two art entries per artist and one Meet the Artist video.

DATES

  • January 31, 2021: Online Entry Deadline
  • February 12, 2021: Notification of acceptance
  • April 21, 2021: Virtual Art Show Opening Event (Details TBD)
  • April 21 – May 14, 2021: Show Dates
  • May 17-21, 2021: All sold art must be delivered to CKRI or shipped to buyers

About:
Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute was formed in June 2013 through the merger of Courage Center and Sister Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, part of Allina Health. Both organizations bring a strong history of service to people with disabilities as well as people with chronic medical conditions.
