Art Calls Open Curation Project: Group/Solo Exhibitions at CICA Museum
Opportunity Description
International Deadline: December 20, 2024 – The CICA Museum invites artists, organizations, and educational institutions globally to partner in organizing solo or group exhibitions and publications. Selected individuals, collectives, organizations, or educational institutions, will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a gallery space of approximately 44m2 for a week, available from Wednesday to Sunday. We are open to collaborative experiments and projects. If you are interested in a larger exhibition space, a longer display period, or have any other ideas, please let us know.
The selected participants will be featured in the the e-book, “CICA Art Now 2026,” which will be available via Amazon Kindle. The printed version will be available by order. The interviews with artists will be also recorded on video and shared across various social media platforms (optional).

FEE
If the proposal is selected, the artist/collective/organization/institution will be required to pay the show processing & maintenance fee.

DATES
- December 20, 2024: Close submissions
- December 22 – January 20, 2024: Approvals: Selected artists will be notified by email.
- January – February 2025: Scheduling and Space Assignment
- Between July and December 2025: Open Curation Project exhibitions. Each exhibition will be held for one week (Wednesday to Sunday).
- August 1, 2026: Expected publication date of “CICA Art Now 2026”
About:
CICA Museum has a collection of artist Czong Ho Kim’s sculptures, paintings, and architecture, as well as many renowned international artists’ works. For special exhibitions, we exhibit Contemporary Art pieces including painting, sculpture, and new media art. CICA also offers education and public programs for the cultural development of local communities.
