Opportunity Description

International Deadline: September 18, 2026 – The Library, Arts & Culture Department of the City of Glendale on behalf of the Arts & Culture Commission are accepting proposals from qualified candidates who are interested in submitting design concepts for the Creative Crosswalk Murals – Request for Proposals. The individual project budgets range from $1,000 – $20,000 ($1,000 per crosswalk leg design) based on the size and scope of the project. The project budget is for producing a design concept rendering only.

The theme for this Creative Crosswalks Request for Proposals is Glendale Sister Cities. The Arts & Culture Commission invites artists and artist teams to submit designs that celebrate the Glendale Sister Cities through proposals that honor the traditions, culture, landscape, cuisine and artistry of each city.

ELIGIBILITY
All artistic genres are encouraged. Local and international artists and artist teams are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

BUDGET

• Project #1 Design Budget: $1,000 – $20,000 ($1,000 per individual crosswalk leg design and $1,000 for the Creative Design Area design).
• Project #2 Design Budget: $1,000 – $16,000 ($1,000 per individual crosswalk leg design).
• Project #3 Design Budget: $1,000 – $18,000 ($1,000 per individual crosswalk leg design)
