International Deadline: Open Until Filled – Art Hive announces an open call for its ‘Structural Self-Portrait & Character Transformation’ workshop.

Applications are open for an 8 days intensive sculpture workshop during the month of July, focusing on structural self-portraiture, artistic anatomy and character transformation.

This is a structured, tuition-based workshop and not a residency programme. Suitable for artists with prior experience in drawing or sculpture.

The 40-hour studio-based programme integrates:

  • Studio-based instruction and critique
  • Theoretical sessions in artistic anatomy
  • Guided drawing for structural analysis
  • Development of a sculptural self-portrait through mirror observation
  • Transformation into a character-based artwork
  • Introduction to frontal mould-making
  • Surface refinement and finishing techniques
  • Mounting of the final sculpture on a base

DATE
40 studio hours/6-10 July Monday to Friday and 13-15 July Monday to Wednesday.
