Art Calls Light and Shadow
Opportunity Description
International Deadline: July 21, 2026 – Nails in the Wall Gallery invites artists to incorporate light and shadow, literally or figuratively, in the abstract or realistically, to create the essence of contrast.
- Light and Shadow: a Study in Contrast
- Luminescence. Shade. Chiaroscuro.
- Light and dark existed at the creation of the world.
- Can there be light without darkness?
- Is shadow the absence of light, or does it have an intentional form and substance?
- Is light good and darkness evil, or does each contain both?
- Shadows may be foreboding, or they may provide solace.
- Beautiful illumination may expose a little too much reality.
Exhibit Dates: Sat, Sept 19 (reception 2-4pm) to Sun, Dec 12, 2026.
