Opportunity Description
U.S. Multi-State Deadline: September 22, 2023 – Pequot Library in Southport, Connecticut is pleased to announce a call for submissions to its 23rd Annual Juried Art Show. The juried exhibition will be on view for the public from October 13 to October 24, 2023 in Pequot Library’s historic auditorium, which provides an outstanding backdrop for the show.
The Pequot Library Juried Art Show 2023 is an important fundraiser for the library that aims to recognize the talents of emerging and established artists in the region. The Library is proud to continue this twenty plus year tradition, which helps support the library’s operations and celebrates artists today.
Pequot Library enriches lives and inspires curiosity by serving the cultural, educational, and intellectual needs of the entire community.
To accomplish its mission, Pequot Library collects, preserves, and makes accessible a collection of rare books, manuscripts, and archives; provides public library services; presents engaging programs about history, literature, and the arts; curates Special Collections exhibitions; and organizes community-wide gatherings in a historic setting.
ELIGIBILITY
This call is open to all visual artists (18 and over) in New England, Pennsylvania, and the tri-state area. Original works (in all media) submitted must have been created in the last three years and not be AI generated. All works must be available for sale.
- All two-dimensional work must be framed and ready to hang, including all hanging wire and hooks. Works without necessary hanging hardware will not be accepted.
- Two-dimensional works must not exceed 60 inches in any direction.
- Three-dimensional works must have an appropriate pedestal. Three-dimensional works must not weigh more than 75lbs.
- Any works that require assembly must have written instructions.

ENTRY FEE
The submission fee for each work is $25. Please pay via credit card via ArtCall.org to submit your works. Non-refundable.

Artist Notification: Artists will be notified by October 1.
Sales and Proceeds
All works must be for sale. The library and the artist split the total sale cost, 50%.
