Opportunity Description
International Deadline: May 9, 2022 – Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) is announcing a call for entries to its annual 2022 International Photography Competition.
A flagship project of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, the International Photography Competition has been running for two decades commemorating the museum’s commitment to positioning photographic art as central to everyday life and culture.
CATEGORIES
The winners will be selected in seven categories: Conceptual; Abstract; Still Life; Documentary/ Photojournalism; Nature/Science/ Animals; Places/ Landscapes/ Drone; People/ Portraits.
Photo entries will be judged based on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, artistic merit, and otherwise determined by the judges.
BENEFITS & AWARDS
Prizes will be awarded as follows: Best in Competition will receive $1,000, be considered for a public art exhibition on a billboard, be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA, and be taken into consideration for a solo exhibition at FMoPA. For winning submissions in each category, First Place winners will receive goods and services valuing $100, be considered for a public art exhibition on a billboard, and be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA. Second Place winners will be considered for a public art exhibition on a billboard and be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA. Third Place winners will be considered for a public art exhibition on a billboard and be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA.

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is a museum dedicated to exhibiting important photographic art as central to contemporary life and culture. FMoPA collects, preserves, and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists.
