Competitions Global Impact : The Wake of Covid

International Deadline: July 6, 2020 – The Foundry Art Centre in Saint Charles, Missouri is seeking submissions for “Global Impact: The Wake of Covid,” an all media exhibition focusing on what artists have been working on with the global impact of COVID-19. We are asking artists “What have you been creating in response? How has your work shifted due to self-isolation and quarantine? How have your perspectives changed? All media is considered for this international submission for a physical and online exhibition.

Virtual Exhibition Launching August 21
Open to all artists, 18 years and older, world-wide, both amateur and professional. This includes alternative and traditional artwork.
A maximum of 3 entries per artists may be submitted for consideration; all media in 2D & 3D forms will be considered. 2D work must be suitably framed with all hardware necessary attached to hang gallery ready. Larger pieces must be able to enter the gallery through an 84” x 71” doorway. Once installed, work may not exceed 11 feet in height. Any artist with installation or digital works must speak with the Exhibitions Manager to coordinate presentation.
Robin Hirsch has been an artistic Director of Art Saint Louis for over thirty years, a premiere non-profit artist’s organization and gallery founded in 1977 in St. Louis. Since earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1985 in Photography, Robin has been an essential part of the St. Louis community, volunteering and participating in multiple community activities. Photography is not her only specialty, as she also creates multimedia objects in her daily practice, and has been a juror and judge to over 70 exhibitions in her career outside of Art Saint Louis.

Featuring a state-of-the-art gallery, the Foundry hosts national and international juried fine art exhibitions and curated traveling exhibitions.

Artists may submit up to three works for a non-refundable processing fee of $35. Foundry Art Centre members may submit up to three works for a non-refundable fee of $24.
A maximum of 3 entries per artist may be submitted for consideration.
SALES, LIABILITY, AND INSURANCE
The Foundry Art Centre will retain a 35% commission on all sales directly attributed to the exhibition. Foundry Art Centre provides standard insurance at 50% of retail on all exhibited works while on premises. Artist is responsible for work in transit to and from.
