Portfolio Henry M. Kashiwa Eco Gallery
U.S. National Deadline: Ongoing – Founded in 1951, View is a multi-arts center in Old Forge, New York, housed in facility (2011) designed for arts programming. Open year-round, View draws artist from across North American for its juried exhibitions, and shows the work of regional and local artists in the galleries.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Henry M. Kashiwa Eco Gallery is a space dedicated to forging relationships and inspiration between the creation of art and our natural world. View seeks proposals for the Henry M. Kashiwa Eco Gallery that are conceptually concerned with ideas related to environment, location, ecology and natural history. Specifically those works that find relationships to the Adirondacks and their surrounding environs. Installations, interactive works, and educational elements are encouraged.
The Gallery itself contains a number of cornerstones such as a living garden with native plants, a cairn of native minerals, as well as a number of other objects that can be incorporated into the proposed work.
To apply for an exhibition in the Eco Gallery please send the following materials to firstname.lastname@example.org with a subject line of Eco Gallery Proposal:
- A letter of proposal outlining the content and concept of the exhibit.
- 8-10 high quality images that best represent the art work that you plan to exhibit. We will accept these images in .jpegs or .tiffs format via filesharing, email, or a link to your web page.
- An artist statement.
- A current resume with contact information
