Compete Symphony of Color

Opportunity Description
U.S. National Deadline: September 25, 2023 – Martha Spak Gallery invites 2D and 3D artists to submit their art for this themed exhibition “Symphony of Color”. Enter work that is any interpretation of the call. Our goal is to discover unique artistic visions and showcase them. All mediums are welcome.
Autumn’s rhythm and mood reminds us that nothing stays the same for long. This call for art invites 2D and 3D artists to submit works of art inspired by change, color and experience. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best in Show, Second Place and Third Place. There will also be the People’s Choice Award chosen by Wharf visitors. This exhibition will be both in the gallery and online. We can’t wait to see your work and include your work in this exhibition.
On display October 18 – November 26, 2023 at Martha Spak Gallery, 60 District Square, SW, Washington, DC.
ELIGIBILITY
- Artist must be at least 18 years and older and be able to deliver and pickup their artwork at the Gallery in Washington, DC.
- All 2D and 3D entries must be original and created solely by the artist.
- Work must be for sale
JUROR
Lesley Duncan, Principal, Bellus Fine Art Consulting
Lesley holds a MA in Art History from George Washington University and a BA in Art History from the University of Georgia. Her educational focus was on European paintings while her professional experience rests in American art of the mid-19th through mid-20th centuries. AWARDS
Cash awards chosen by juror for Best in Show, 2nd Place, 3rd Place announced at the opening reception October 28.
ENTRY FEE
A $35 entry fee to submit up to 3 works of art. The maximum size of artwork allowed is 36” x 48”. Please consider artwork size when applying.

SALES
Artists will retain 50% from sales. The Gallery retains 50% commission on any work sold through the Gallery.
