Compete Scaled Perspectives: 2025 Annual Art Exhibition

Opportunity Description
U.S. National Deadline: August 20, 2025 – The Midwest Miniatures Museum is excited to host its annual juried exhibition, Scaled Perspectives. This year the museum welcomes artists nationwide to submit work around their understanding of “miniature.” Whether it is a traditional, 1:12 scaled replica, a petite original, or a contemporary interpretation, we encourage artists to creatively consider “miniature” from their perspective. Just remember! Any submitted artwork must be no larger than 3 1/2” on its longest side.
On display October 28th – December 13th, 2025.
JUROR
Jane Graber has been an artist and creator for nearly 50 years. After graduating from Goshen (Ind.) College in 1976 with a B.A. in Art, Graber worked as a full-time potter for Saunder Museum in Archbold, Ohio. During her five years there as a full-scale production potter, she also began working in miniature to create small souvenirs for the children who visited the museum.
Graber began working as a full-time miniaturist in 1981. Her work was exhibited nationwide, both in traditional craft fairs as well as miniature exhibitions up until her final showing in Chicago in 2022. During her career, Graber was highlighted in several publications, including Miniature Collector, Dolls House World, American Miniaturist, and a cover story in Ceramic Monthly (Jan 2000).
Graber currently lives just outside of Frankfort, MI with her husband and pet farm-dog. Despite being partially retired, she regularly creates in her home studio, making pots as time allows while still keeping room for other interests like gardening, travel, and focusing on expanding her artistic practice outside her usual historically inspired works.
