Competitions Abstraction at Large

SiteBrooklynNew York, United States

Site Brooklyn

Opportunity Description

International Deadline: March 1, 2018 – This is an open call to artists worldwide for an exhibition at Site:Brooklyn.

Abstraction, one of the most radical innovations of art history, stripped away the recognizable, threw it to the winds, and laid bare the purely abstract. This show seeks to bring forward how abstraction shapes contemporary art practice, not simply as a part of art history but as a living visual language.

The exhibition will reflect the ambitious, innovative and contemporary in painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and photography today.

On display April 11 – May 6, 2018.
