Grants Hopper Prize: $4,500 Artist Grants

International Deadline: November 11, 2025 – The Hopper Prize is now accepting entries for our 2025 artist grants. For our current open call, we have increased grant amounts to $4,500 (2 available) and $1,000 (4 available) to artists and photographers worldwide working in all media.
The Hopper Prize was established in order to increase the recognition of artwork created by artists and photographers. Our aim is to advance artists’ careers by providing them with unrestricted financial support that is coupled with a platform for increased visibility. We accept submissions twice a year via an open call.
ELIGIBILITTY
The Hopper Prize is open to all artists aged 18 and older working in any media. There are no restrictions on genre, subject matter, or media. We welcome entries in all media. We are committed to supporting artists from diverse cultural backgrounds at all stages of their professional careers.
International artists are eligible to apply.
BENEFITS & AWARDS
In total, 6 artists will receive unrestricted cash grants totaling $13,000 this cycle. Grant awards are unrestricted and may be used any way the recipients choose.
- $4,500.00: 2 artists will each receive a $4,500 (USD) grant
- $1,000.00: 4 artists will each receive a $1,000 (USD) grant
- 30 artists will have their work archived at hopperprize.org
- A selection from the submissions will be featured on our Instagram feed @hopperprize
Shortlisted Benefits: In addition to grant recipients, a shortlist of 60 artists will be selected annually (30 in Spring & 30 in Fall) to have their work archived alongside grant winners.
Being included in our archive of past grant winners places your work in an international discourse with high profile contemporaries. These elevated portfolio presentations function as a growing resource for curators, gallery owners, collectors, and arts enthusiasts.
