Competitions One: 7th Annual Manifest Prize ($5000)
International Deadline: October 1, 2016 – Highly regarded Manifest Creative Research Gallery announces the Seventh Annual Manifest Prize with a cash award of $5,000, plus more.
Open to works of any media, any genre/style, any size.
The cash award for this competition is now $5000 and a four-week solo exhibit of the single winning work displayed along with juror and artist statements. Ten semi-finalist works will also be included in the season-documenting publication, the Manifest Exhibition Annual.
ONE is open to everyone. The only limitation is that entries must represent original works of art and be available and capable of being exhibited in one of Manifest’s five galleries. Floor plans are available upon request. Works submitted must have been completed within the past five years (2011-2016)
Open to any and all traditional and non-traditional visual arts genre and media, (including video, photography, sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, etc.). There is no size limit or minimum size required, other than what is capable of being displayed in our gallery space.
JURY & CURATOR
Manifest’s selection process involves a complex two-part system. This exhibit will be juried by an anonymous 5-9 member panel of professional and academic advisors with a broad range of expertise relative to art and design..
Manifest Press produces high quality hard-cover publications documenting each entire season of exhibits, artists, and works shown. This continues Manifest’s commitment to long-term documentation and dissemination of our projects, and the expansion of physical exhibits into a broader geography and time frame
$36 for up to three entries submitted. $10 per each additional entry.

SALE OF ARTWORK
Artworks are not required to be for sale in order to be included in exhibitions. Manifest Gallery will retain a commission of 30% of the sale price on all artwork sold during the exhibition.
DELIVERY AND RETURN OF WORK
All work accepted for the exhibition must arrive ready to install. Works not gallery-ready, or not exhibiting good craftsmanship, may be omitted from the exhibit.
Works will be insured while on gallery premises. Insurance covers theft, vandalism, damage caused by gallery patrons or staff (in accordance with insurance policy).
October 1, 2016: Deadline for receipt of entries
November 9: Notifications sent by email to all entrants
ASAP: Hi-res images needed for season annual and PR
December 10: Artwork due to Manifest by this date
December 16: Opening reception
January 13: Final Day of Exhibition
January 14-21: Pick-up hand-delivered work
January 18: Schedule shipped artwork for pickup (arranged by artist)
