Opportunity Description

U.S. National Deadline: Ongoing – LHUCA welcomes all artists and groups in all disciplines to submit their work for consideration in our 4 galleries. Gallery exhibits are chosen by a submissions panel that meets throughout the year. Applicants will be notified after their review.

Please follow the directions below carefully to ensure that the submissions panel is able to give your application the attention it deserves. No Application Fee.

Send an email to linda.cullum@lhuca.org with images and an Image List in a Word document. Submissions can also be submitted by mailing ONE CD or USB drive to the address listed at the bottom of this page. Individual artists may submit up to ten (10) images. Group shows may submit up to three (3) images per artist.

Image List in a WORD doc. that includes:

  1. Artist Name
  2. Title
  3. Medium
  4. Dimensions

Please include contact information with your Image List:

  1. Artist Name
  2. Address, City, State, Zip
  3. Phone
  4. Email Address
  5. Website

We encourage you to include an artist statement with your submitted artwork that is specific to the artwork being considered or that is a general statement about your work. Also please let us know that you saw this announcement on “ArtDeadline.Com”.

Founded in 1997, LHUCA, the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, is a nationally recognized private, 501(c)(3) non-profit fine arts center. Our mission is to “enrich and inspire our community by being a catalyst for the arts.

Located in the heart of the Lubbock Arts District, LHUCA has a unique four block campus that offers exciting spaces for arts enrichment including four visual art galleries, a 159 seat theatre, the Helen DeVitt Jones Clay Studio, a state-of-the-art clay facility, and flexible education and meeting spaces.

Our art campus is shared with CASP, Charles Adams Studio Project, also a non-profit 501(c)(3), founded in 2009. CASP currently consists of four live/work artist studios, one of which is a rotating Artist-in-Residence program, the CH Foundation Metals Studio, the Helen DeVitt Jones Print Studio, the CASP 5&J Gallery, and the Texas Tech School of Art Satellite Gallery.
