International Deadline: January 31, 2026 – The Biennial Project presents an open call to artists worldwide for The 2026 Biennial Project Biennial – an online juried biennial, with accepted work to be displayed on our website, promoted on our blog and social media sites, and with an exclusive catalog launch event at the 2026 Venice Biennale.

Reasons To Enter The 2026 Project Biennial:

  • Accepted work will be displayed permanently on the very busy Biennial Project Website.
  • Online galleries with accepted work will be promoted on The Biennial Project Blog posting reaching over 25,000 art lovers.
  • Hundreds of entries are highlighted on our well-trafficked social media sites during the months leading up to the entry deadline.
  • Publication in a High-Quality Published Catalog: Most importantly: For the first time, all finalists will have their selected artwork published in a beautifully produced hardcover volume.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all artists residing on our dear little planet. We are proud to promote the work of artists from around the globe.

JUROR
Work will be juried by The world-renowned Biennial Project Artists, with Special Prize Winners chosen by our renowned Special Guest Juror Liz Faust, who will select her favorite pieces from the show and award Special Juror’s Prizes.

Liz Faust is an art historian, independent curator, and a professor of contemporary art whose career is centered around weaving diverse narratives and transforming art spaces globally. She has curated over eighty exhibitions including solo exhibitions of both living and deceased artists. Liz Faust website

From 2018 to the present, she has taught at a number of academic institutions including the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and the University of Cincinnati. The entry fee is $35 for 3 entries, with $5 for each additional entry.

The Biennial Project is a collaborative project to explore the nature and understand the perception of biennial exhibits within the art world, and, in so doing, to develop a collective body of work that will be exhibited in as many biennial exhibits as possible ­ especially the really cool ones.
