Correlacion Contemporanea Amazonas, Peru

Amazonica

Opportunity Description

International Deadline: Open Until Filled – Discover AMAZÓNICA 2026, a four-week international Artist-in-Residence program in Iquitos, the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. Explore Amazonian culture, biodiversity, and indigenous communities.

The Open Call begins every September. We will reach out to the finalist artists on a rolling basis as we receive applications. Since capacity is limited, the open call will close once all spots have been filled. Artists selected for the May residency will be announced in January 2026, and those selected for the September residency will be notified in June 2026.

We welcome visual artists, performers, musicians, researchers, curators, and creative professionals from all disciplines to develop projects in dialogue with:

  • The Peruvian Amazon and its biodiversity
  • Urban culture of Iquitos
  • Indigenous and rural communities
  • Decolonization and interculturality

Participants join a unique intercultural environment designed to foster artistic growth, collaboration, and critical reflection.

Program highlights:
